Police: Man shot by security guard checked himself out of hospital
GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Officials say a man shot by a security guard on Thursday morning will be smothered with charges.
According to a report, deputies responded to 1230 Redbank Rd., Kamauri's Sports Bar & Grill, at about 2 a.m. concerning a report of someone being shot in the parking lot of the club.
Investigators say the man shot was Demar Devon Bacon, 25, of Tidewater Drive in North Charleston.
Bacon is accused of hitting a security guard at the bar with his car. Investigators say the security guard, 24-year-old Monieque Green, fired his gun through the windshield of the car.
Bacon was transported to a local hospital for a wound to his chest.
But according to reports, he didn't stay there.
Bacon reportedly checked himself out of the hospital and is currently being sought by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office on the following charges:
Unlawful carrying of a handgun
Unlawful possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
Possession of a stolen firearm
Possession of cocaine (3rd offense)
Possession of cocaine base(3rd offense)
Possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 1/2 mile of a school
Possession with intent to distribute marijuana(3rd offense)
Possession of MDMA(ecstasy) (3rd offense)
