A Niles man was airlifted by MedFlight Saturday morning after his vehicle crashed into a guardrail in Elkhart County.
It happened on C.R. 10, south of Ash Road around 6:30 this morning.
Police say 21-year-old Scott P. Bass of Niles was driving northwest on C.R. 10 when his Chevy Tahoe left the road and struck a guardrail.
His vehicle spun around 180 degrees, according to officials, shoving the guardrail into the vehicle before the SUV came to rest.
Bass was airlifted to Memorial Hospital for serious injuries to his lower limbs.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
