Air Force jet in South Bend could signal VP visit
SOUTH BEND —
Some people go to Washington for the 4th of July, this time it appears Washington is coming here.
The White House isn't confirming travel details, but WSBT 22 is hearing Vice President Mike Pence will be flying through the South Bend International Airport for a holiday weekend personal visit.
An Air Force cargo jet arrived at the airport Friday morning.
Those jets typically fly in ahead of any presidential or vice presidential visit carrying the ground-support vehicles.
The White House is not confirming the vice president's visit.
It's still unclear where he is going.
