Arraignment today for convicted killer who escaped from Mich. prison
A convicted killer now heading to trial for escaping prison and then carjacking and kidnapping a woman is expected back in court this morning.
Michael Elliot will be arraigned.
Elliot escaped from the Ionia Correctional Facility on Super Bowl Sunday. He was captured a day later in LaPorte County.
Police say after he slipped through a fence at the jail and carjacked a woman in Ionia. She was able to escape him at a Middlebury gas station.
Elliot is already serving life in prison for the 1993 shooting of four people.
