Cars stuck to the road in Mishawaka after water main breaks
The extreme cold temperatures are causing a big problem for some people in Mishawaka.
City officials say a water main broke, flooded the road and with the sub-zero temperatures-- it all became ice.
This happening on East 7th Street near Merrifield Avenue, Tuesday.
At least two cars are apparently frozen to the ground due to the break, causing problems for some drivers.
"My daughter had parked her car here last night and it got so cold that her tires stuck to the pavement. So we're trying to break it away now, and try to get it loose, but it's not working very well," said Mark Regina.
The city was out looking at the ice. They managed to get one car out with a tow strap, another car is still stuck.
