Catastrophic flooding seen in Houston
Catastrophic flooding is unfolding in the Houston area with radar estimates of 14-28" of rain in the last 24 hours. A lot more rain is on the way today.
To put this in perspective, the daily record rainfall in South Bend is 7.69" which fell in August of last year. Remember the flooding? Parts of Texas are receiving quadruple times that!
There have been over 1,000 high water rescues. Some emergency crews haven't even been able to get to the worst-hit areas. A Flash Flood Emergency continues for the Houston area.
