Dragoon Trail back open after repaving project
A busy road is back open after getting some work done to it this summer.
Thanks to some help from the state, Dragoon Trail in Mishawaka has been repaved.
The work happened from Ironwood to Fir Road. And it happened thanks to state money for infrastructure.
On Friday Mishawaka leaders held a ceremonial ribbon cutting to reopen the road near Marian High School.
"This was Mishawaka's worst road for a number of years,” said Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood. The road on our far south side that goes from city limits to city limits. And it was the road most need of repair, the one we got the most complaints about. it went from being the roughest road, to probably the smoothest road. And I can tell you that the drive through seems very luxurious now."
Dragoon Trail is one of three lcoations funded through the Community Crossings grant program in Mishawaka. The others are McKinley Avenue and Grape Road.
