Former daycare worker pleads guilty after allegedly breaking a baby's arm
SOUTH BEND —
A former South Bend daycare worker has changed her plea.
23-year-old Marisa Jester entered a guilty plea to battery to a person less than 14-years-old and neglect of a dependent.
Jester was working at the Rainbow Childcare Center when this happened in 2016.
Police say she told them the baby "flailed" and she heard a "pop" when she moved the child toward her.
Hospital doctors told the child's mother the baby suffered a broken arm.
The judge will decide next month if the plea will be accepted.
