Ground breaking held for new Veterans Memorial in Mishawaka
It's a new place to honor veterans in our community.
The Center for Hospice Care in Mishawaka broke ground Wednesday on its new Veterans Memorial.
It's going up on the property along the river as part of the "We Honor Veterans" program.
It's a collaboration between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the National Hospice Organization.
"We do a number things that are very special for the veterans, special pinning ceremonies. We work with their families to honor their service, ah to our country and so it's, it's been, it's a really neat program," said Chief Operating Officer of the Hospice Foundation, Mike Wargo.
A dedication is planned October 19th.
