LaPorte County offices back to normal after computer virus
LAPORTE COUNTY —
A virus stooped local government officials from sending or getting emails for three days.
As of Friday, things were back to normal.
According to Stan Maddux with our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune, it impacted LaPorte County offices.
On Monday an employee accidentally clicked an email with a virus. It instantly disabled the county's commuter server.
Officials say it was not the same virus that was apart of a recent global cyber-attack.
The County Clerk plans to ask the council for more money to upgrade their security.
