Marshall County intersections will not see J-turns
MARSHALL COUNTY —
Don't expect to see J-turns at two dangerous intersections along U.S. 31.
INDOT is scrapping the plan.
The J-turns were proposed for the intersections of State Road 10 and 110 in Marshall County.
Those who drive and live near the intersection say the J-turn is just a minor bandage. They want an interchange to replace the dangerous intersection.
An INDOT spokesman said the turns are the most cost effective and timely plan. INDOT says it will continue to monitor traffic safety and work to find ways to improve long term safety.
