Mishawaka assistant fire chief may become director for St. Joseph County's 911 center
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY —
St. Joseph County's 911 center is a step closer to having a permanent director.
Our partner Ted Booker from the South Bend Tribune reports the center's operations board picked Ray Schultz.
He has been the interim executive director since October.
He'll replace Brent Croymans who stepped down.
Dispatchers have said the center is understaffed.
Schultz will need the center's executive board, the county Board of Commissioners’ approval.
