Plane skids across road in botched landing at Plymouth Airport

An investigation is underway this morning following a botched landing at the Plymouth Airport.

We're told the pilot of a small plane was coming in for landing around 8 Sunday night when he was blinded by the sun.

The plane then skidded across Lilac Road and ultimately ended up in a grassy area near the airport.

The pilot was not seriously hurt --- he went to the hospital for a minor eye injury.

No one else was injured.

This happened near the Blueberry Festival, but we're told the two events are not related.
