Police: South Bend home invasion suspects linked to other area burglaries
South Bend police say an 18-year-old and two juveniles were arrested in a weekend home invasion, and they have been linked to other crimes in the area as well.
This happened on Sunday in the 2100 block of W. Elwood.
Police say they arrested 18-year-old Chris Wilson for robbery, assault and burglary. They also arrested a 16 and 17-year-old for robbery and assault.
Police say the victims, who were ages 16 and 18, told them the three pushed their way into the home when the door was open. The suspects were armed, say police.
The suspects took items from the home, police say, but officers tracked them to a home in the 1800 block of N. Johnson and a home in the 1200 block of N. Eclipse Place.
All three were questioned by detectives and police say they were linked to several burglaries and robberies across multiple jurisdictions.
