About 3,600 customers were without power Friday morning in the Granger area, Indiana Michigan Power reported.

The power went out around 6:45 a.m. Indiana Michigan Power says a breaker tripped at a substation due to some equipment problems.

St. Pius Catholic School, in fact, was forced to close.

Crews worked on the substation, and the power was back on around 9:30 a.m.

Traffic signals were out at several major intersections.
