South Bend Motor Speedway auctioning pieces of track
SOUTH BEND —
The South Bend Motor Speedway is getting a makeover, and you can get a piece of its history. The speedway says it can't even guess how many drivers have passed the finish line over the past 71 years.
They will be cutting the track into 3-by-6 blocks and will sell them at auction. Half the money raised will go to repair the track.
The other half will go to Riley's Children's Hospital. The speedway says it's working out the auction details right now, and will post the information to their Facebook page.
