South Bend woman sentenced in deadly crash
SOUTH BEND —
A South Bend woman will go to prison for her part in a deadly crash.
Lisa Dean pleaded guilty to driving with a controlled substance in her system.
She hit 63-year-old Allen Zellers on Ironwood Road in 2016. He later died.
Police say Dean's car crossed the center line and hit Zellers' motorcycle.
Dean will serve six years in prison and then two years of probation.
She also had her license suspended for 12 years.
