South Bend's tallest building could be up for sale -- again.
WSBT learned the New York company that bought the bank note on the Chase Tower asked a judge to schedule a sheriff's sale on the building.
An attorney involved in legal proceedings of the Chase tells us the sale would complete the foreclosure process.
This means the company wants to clear the title of any debts.
After buying it out of the sheriff' sale, Washington Square Realty might sell the Chase or move ahead with plans to renovate and operate it.
The sale could happen this spring.
A sale with another East Coast company fell through last month.
