Stabbing reported at Wooden Indian Motel

South Bend Police respond to a stabbing at the Wooden Indian Motel early Thursday morning.

Police in South Bend are investigating an early morning stabbing at the Wooden Indian Motel.

Officers were called to the motel, in the 1600 block of Lincoln Way East, around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

Investigators say a 35-year-old woman suffered a wound to her arm. She is recovering in the hospital.

Police say there are conflicting stories from witnesses about what led up to the stabbing.

Police arrested a 46-year-old man in connection to the incident.

No formal charges have been filed.
