State to hold public hearing on status of Navarre Intermediate Center
The public will get a chance to give input on the status of Navarre Intermediate Center.
The state is holding a public hearing a week from Thursday.
The school has gotten an F grade from the state for five straight years.
Superintendent Kenneth Spells says the state should like the changes the school is making.
"We're looking to improve each day. It's still in a poor status and we're working on that. We have a new principal in place. She has some things in place that I think the state needs to hear about. I think they also need to hear about the teachers because the teachers will come to the podium and they'll talk also. They need to see the whole picture. It's different than just looking at paperwork and data,” said Spells.
Spells would like the community to support the school at the hearing.
The meeting starts at 5:30 on May 31 at the school.
