Even though we've had about an inch of snow, it's been persistent, and road conditions around the region have been an issue throughout the morning and early afternoon.
As of noon the South Bend police department says they have responded to about 30 crash reports, and still have many more pending that they haven't gotten to yet.
Almost 50 crash calls in total.
This isn't just South Bend. We are told it's everywhere.
There was a 10 car pileup on Angela Boulevard on the hill just east of Michigan Street, near the old St. Joseph High School.

And if you do get in a minor crash and don't want to wait for police, you can file your own report on the department's website. Just make sure you get all the information from everyone involved-- especially drivers' license and license plate numbers and insurance.
