UPDATE: Arrest made in LaPorte bar shooting
Police have arrested a suspect in a shooting Tuesday morning at a bar in LaPorte.
Shirron Taylor, 32, was arrested in South Bend and charged with attempted murder. He's being held in LaPorte County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The shooting happened just before 3:30 Tuesday morning in the 600 Block of Michigan Avenue.
The 28-year-old victim is in critical condition at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.

La Porte Police have made an arrest in connection with an early morning shooting that occurred on Tuesday.Police located the suspect, Shirron Taylor, 32, on Tuesday afternoon in South Bend, Indiana. He was taken into custody and is charged with attempted murder, a Class A felony. He is being held at the La Porte County Jail on a $100,000.00 bond.On Tuesday, June 24, at approximately 2:19 a.m., La Porte Police responded to a shooting inside Ellian's Pub, 617 Michigan Av.Preliminary investigation indicates Shirron confronted the victim inside the bar and then shot him. He left the bar and was seen leaving in a vehicle.The 28-year-old victim was transported to IU Heath La Porte Hospital by EMS where he remains in critical condition.
