UPDATE: Police release new information in Goshen armed robbery

Goshen Police have released new information on an armed robbery at a sporting goods store on Elkhart Road. Officer say three men walked into MC Sports night. They ordered everyone to the floor and robbed the employees at gunpoint. And WSBT has learned just how terrifying it was for those inside the store.

Police say the suspects tied up 11 people including two customers with cable ties and robbed the employees at gunpoint.By the time police arrived, the suspects were long gone, but witnesses say the suspects wore masks that covered part of their faces.

The men reportedly took off in a Dodge Neon. Police later found what they believed to be that car at Maple Court Apartments a mile and a half down the road.

"That's what it looked like a movie, I mean police were everywhere with guns, big guns, little guns, running back and forth, hiding behind dumpsters," said resident Devonna Broadnax.

Police set up a perimeter around the area. They also collected evidence and interviewed witnesses.

"I kind of watched through the windows all night long just to see if anything had happened cause we didn't know anything about a robbery or suspects at the time," said neighbor Terrence Wright. "So it was kind of shocking to us."

Everything is back to normal at Maple Court Apartments, but some neighbors may still be on edge, wondering when or if the suspects will be caught.

No injuries were reported. Anyone with information is asked to call Goshen police at 574-533-8661 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-342-STOP.
