UPDATE: Severe threat winding down, strong storms still possible tonight


The severe threat continues to wind down Sunday afternoon after several thunderstorms moved through the Michiana area.

High winds up to 60 mph and large hail was reported in several counties. So far damage seems to be minimum with only a few downed power lines and tree limbs, according to area dispatchers.

Our viewing area is no longer under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, but a watch remains in effect until 9 p.m. EDT.
