The trial for a Granger woman charged in the death of her newborn is pushed back for the fourth time.

Purvi Patel's trial was scheduled to begin next month.

Police say she took drugs to force her body to have an abortion.

Investigators say she then dumped her baby behind Moe's Southwest Grill in Mishawaka, which is her family's restaurant.

WSBT's Kelli Stopczynski was in the courtroom this morning and reports this is the fourth time Patel's trial has been pushed back. It was scheduled to begin June 2.

Patel's attorney has asked for a continuance in her trial and says he is waiting for an "expert report" that he expects to get next Monday.

A status hearing is scheduled for May 21 where a judge will set future dates.
