Backyard Brawl: Conference titles on the line for Penn and Mishawaka
It’s the final week of the regular season in Indiana for high school football. Conference titles will be on the line.
In the NIC, as they have so many times before, Penn and Mishawaka will have the final say.
The Cavemen are getting ready for a hard-hitting affair in practice. Mishawaka is 3-1 in the NIC.
With a win over their rivals, they'll clinch a share of the NIC title.
Penn, meanwhile, hasn't lost since opening night and brings a 4-0 conference record to the Backyard Brawl.
They're looking for their 31st conference title in the last 32 years.
"It's either going to be a one man show with the trophy or if they're going to be three teams holding the trophy, so yeah he generally comes down to this game for the conference. I think both teams should be playing their best football the year so that makes it exciting,” said Mishawaka Head Coach, Bart Curtis.
"It's Penn, Mishawaka week really conferences and records and everything else goes out the window it's just such a great rivalry game and it always has been and always will be,” said Penn Head Coach, Cory Yeoman.
