Earlier this week Notre Dame women's basketball Head Coach Muffet McGraw recieved another big honor. On Monday, she was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Eric Holcomb, one of the highest individual honors the state can give a citizen.

McGraw was honored along with the new Indiana basketball Hall of Fame class. Wednesday, WSBT 22 spoke with her about the her visit with the governor.

"Sometimes those more intimate settings make it so much more special. To have an award from the state of Indiana that is, it's really special," McGraw said. "It's such a blessing to be nominated for the Hall of Fame and then to get in, and to have all these people recognize me. I mean, it's kind of overwhelming."

McGraw was also elected to the Naismith Hall of Fame.

"It's been a heck of a ride. Its kind of a whirlwind. Now back out recruiting, so it's like put that behind you and get back to work," McGraw said.
