Penn swimming wins 100th straight dual meet

Penn girls swimming was shooting for an impressive milestone Tuesday night.

The Kingsmen beat Elkhart Central 129-57 to win their 100th consecutive dual-meet.

The win streak dates back to 2010, their last loss coming by one point from Lake Central in late December 2009.

Penn Head Swimming Coach Jess Preston said, "So many swimmers have been a part of it, it goes back to the graduating class of 2010. Their senior year they started this streak and now the freshman class of 2021 is part of it. That makes it pretty neat."

Penn Senior Makenna Bottorff added, "These girls are just so hard working. We could not have achieved this, especially with the people that came before us. They started this and we're here to continue it."
