Dexter Fowler out for ASG; likely will miss start of 2nd half
Chicago Cubs outfielder Dexter Fowler will miss the Major League Baseball All-Star game as he continues to rehab a right hamstring injury.
Fowler recently made a rehab start in South Bend with the Class-A affiliate Cubs and discovered he needed even more rehab to heal the injury that has kept him out of action since June 17th.
"The word I got back was he didn't feel anything other than he couldn't push it." manager Joe Maddon said.
While he didn't continue his rehab assignment as scheduled, Fowler will travel to San Diego to participate in All-Star festivities.
