Danielle Kennedy is excited to be a part of the WSBT 22 team and proud to make the Midwest her new home!
Born and raised in New York, Danielle has always loved meeting people and sharing compelling stories. Most recently, she worked in Washington D.C. covering stories on Capitol Hill and the White House as a reporter for KTVX-TV in Salt Lake City, UT.
Her broadcast career began at SUNY Oneonta where she anchored and reported on news and sports for the student-run program "Oneonta News Now." Her work was often featured on WUTR-TV in Utica, NY. Danielle ran four years of cross country/track and field at Oneonta, having made three NCAA Division III National Championship appearances and earned All-American honors for her cross country performance.
After graduation, Danielle attended the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University where she received her Master's Degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. While there, she covered whiteout snow conditions, the election for New York's 24th Congressional District, Syracuse athletics and human interest stories.
During weekends in the fall, Danielle served as a beat writer for a nationally ranked high school cross country team from the Syracuse area. Her most memorable moments came from traveling across the state to cover all of their competitions in some of the worst weather conditions!
In her spare time, Danielle enjoys running, hiking, skiing, reading and watching sports. If you see her out and about or have any story ideas, she would love to hear from you!
