Katlin Connin is a reporter for WSBT 22 News. She joined the team in March 2016.
Katlin grew up in Chelsea, Michigan, where she attended Chelsea High School. After graduation, she attended Northern Michigan University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies and Media Production & New Technology.
Katlin says she wanted to be reporter from a very young age. She loved watching the morning news while she got ready for school, and enjoyed the friendly, upbeat personalities of morning news anchors.
She started down the road toward a similar career as soon as she got to college. Katlin joined Public Eye News, a student run news broadcast at NMU, where she practiced her writing and anchoring skills. From there she took a job as assistant producer for Public TV 13.
While attending NMU, she completed an internship at WBUP/WBKP-TV and took a job as a Multi-Media Journalist and anchor there.
Katlin says her favorite part about the job are all the interesting people she meets throughout the day.
