The Plymouth Community School Corp. has asked the state to look into the possibility that ISTEP testing was not properly administered at an elementary school.
The investigation focuses on whether testing manuals at Menominee Elementary were kept in a secure location, Superintendent Daniel Tyree told WSBT Wednesday. The district also wants to know how the school reviewed material in preparation for the test, Tyree said.
After receiving a report about possible irregularities, the district spent most of Friday at Menominee Elementary School asking questions about how the standardized test was being handled, Tyree said.
The Corporation then contacted the Indiana Department of Education and submitted a report to the state for further review, Tyree said.
It's up to the state to determine if there was any wrongdoing, Tyree said.
ISTEP testing for elementary students was delayed Wednesday due to snow and will resume on Thursday.
