In a Twitter post Thursday, Kim Kardashian West confirmed reports that she is expected her third child with husband Kayne West -- this time, via a surrogate.

In a teaser for the upcoming season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Kardashian West announces the news over the phone to her sister Khloé Kardashian.

“What happens every time I say, ‘Guess what?’ ” Kardashian West asks.

“Pregnant, or the person’s pregnant,” Khloé responds.

“We’re having a baby!” Kardashian West confirms.

In July, US Weekly reported that Kardashian West had hired a surrogate mother from San Diego to carry the couple's baby. At the time, the woman was three months pregnant, according to the report.

The decision was made after doctors told Kardashian West another pregnancy could be deadly, sources said. However, the star had not confirmed the move until Thursday.

Kardashian West is the third member of her family to face publicity over pregnancy news.

News broke last week that sister Kylie Jenner is expecting a child with boyfriend Travis Scott, sources said. She is reportedly due in February; but has yet to confirm the news.

Days later, reports surfaced that sister Khloe is also pregnant. The father is reportedly boyfriend and NBA star Tristan Thompson; however, Kardashian also has yet to publicly confirm the news.

The children would be both sisters' first.
