Life After Lockup
This year more than 600,000 thousand inmates will be released from prison. If they can't find a home or work or help, they are more likely to commit more crimes and return to prison. Nearly 80% will return to prison within 60 months.*
You've seen it in the movies. You've heard about it in real life. A criminal is sent to prison to be rehabilitated. The hope is they will learn the life skills and possibly a trade to support themselves and not end up back in prison. But does the public's perception of ex-cons really allow them the chance to live a life after they have left jail?
