Ross Township repeals one of the marijuana licensing ordinances
ROSS TOWNSHIP, Mich. —
A Kalamazoo County township repealed an ordinance connected to medical marijuana grow facilities.
Dozens of residents in Ross Township have been fighting the ordinances for months after township leaders approved ordinances clearing the way for medical marijuana growers, packagers and distributors without putting it up for a vote.
The Ross Township Supervisor confirmed it backed down from one of the two ordinances related to licensing.
A second ordinance related to zoning for medical marijuana facilities is still in place.
Ross Township leaders have scheduled a public hearing on the zoning ordinance for later in July.
