Couple accused in deadly Elkhart hit-and-run out of jail on bond
The couple charged in a deadly hit-and-run arrested Wednesday are now out of jail on bond.
Penelope and Leonard Grosswiler turned themselves in at the Elkhart County Jail.
She faces several charges including leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
He faces obstruction of justice charges.
They bonded out at 6 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
The prosecutor says Penelope was driving the car that hit five people killing three of them.
It happened on Beardsley Avenue back in August.
The prosecutor says Leonard Grosswiler tried to hide the car.
