Church donates more than 2,000 diapers to Family and Children's Center in South Bend
SOUTH BEND —
A way to help the community.
Ironwood United Pentecostal Church held a diaper drive.
Wednesday it donated more than 2,000 to the Family and Children's Center in South Bend.
The donation means a lot to the center and those it helps.
"For us it means that we can provide a lot of basic necessities, the diapers and wipes, to our families who really need them most. Sometimes those basic necessities are very difficult for our families and this will allow us to have an opportunity to distribute these to the families that need them in the community," said Roxanne Ultz, executive director of Family and Children Center.
The diapers will be used for at-home appointments in the programs the center runs.
The center always accepts donations of food, formula, wipes and other basics for babies.
