Concord Schools adding a third police officer to staff
Concord Schools will be adding another police officer to the in-house police department.
The district hired two full-time officers in May. This week, the school board voted to hire a third.
The newest officer will be paid $55,000 to work 200 days.
The assistant superintendent says the district wants to have an officer for every 2,000 students.
Currently enrollment is at 5,200.
The new officer should be on the job in February.
