Accused couple to face court in Elkhart hit-and-run

An Elkhart County couple will be in court next week, after turning themselves in following charges in a deadly hit-and-run.

Penelope and Leonard Grosswiler bonded out of jail Wednesday.

She faces several charges including leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

He faces obstruction of justice charges.

The prosecutor says Penelope was driving the car that hit five people on Beardsley Avenue back in August.

Three people were killed including and eight-month old baby and 11-year old child.

The prosecutor says Leonard Grosswiler tried to hide the car.
