The Coast Guard said it has recovered the body of a missing kayaker in Lake Michigan.
Investigators said a two-person kayak capsized near Grand Haven Saturday night.
One of the paddlers made it back to shore. The other never resurfaced.
The victim is described as a 23-year-old man from Coopersville.
Rescuers used divers and a helicopter in their search for the kayaker.
And it was a deadly weekend on the water in Gary.
First responders said two people drowned at the Wells Street Beach Saturday.
Another person was hospitalized.
A total of five people were pulled from Lake Michigan in Gary.
Tragedy was averted, however, for a struggling swimmer in Michigan City.
Life-guards rescued a young man from Lake Michigan at Washington Park Beach Saturday afternoon.
He was about 50 yards from shore.
Lifeguards used a truck to help tow him to safety.
He's now recovering at the hospital.
