Elkhart men arrested in 7-Eleven robbery
The following release was issued Friday morning by the Elkhart Police Department:
On Thursday April 23, 2015 at 2:17 AM officers were dispatched to 3601 Cassopolis Street, 7-Eleven, in regards to a hold up alarm, which was found to be a robbery.
The clerk advised the suspect entered the business and displayed a handgun, pointing at her, and demanded the money. The clerk advised after the suspect got the money he fled the store on foot.
The clerk provided a description of the suspect and officers immediately began a search.
Officers and detectives spoke to witnesses and reviewed video, of the incident. With this information they were able to identify and locate suspects.
Lincoln Leuchtner, 18 years old of Elkhart Indiana, was arrested for robbery. Leuchtner is being held in the Elkhart County Correction Facility without bond.
Davontae White, 19 of Elkhart Indiana, was arrested for robbery. White is being held in the Elkhart County Correction Facility without bond.
