Fire breaks out at old car lot on McKinley Ave. in Mishawaka

Mishawaka firefighters spent New Year's Eve putting out a fire at an old car lot.

The old ARS Auto Sales building near the intersection of McKinley and Maplehurst was damaged in the blaze. That is just west of Fir Road.

The fire was called out around midnight.

The building is vacant.

No one was injured.

McKinley Avenue was closed for a couple hours but has reopened.
