The former treasurer of the Swanson Highland Community Pool in Clay Township will be in court after entering a not guilty plea on charges of corrupt business influence and theft.
The St. Joseph County community pool abruptly closed in 2017 due to lack of funds.
According to court documents, investigators found nearly $66,000 in unauthorized payments from the pool's PayPal account during Amy Burris' time as treasurer.
Prosecutors say she stole the money for personal use.
She's expected in court this morning (Tuesday) at 8:30.
