Four people are recovering after a shooting at what police believe was a New Year's Eve gathering in South Bend.

It happened in the 1500 block of South Miami Street.

According to a Facebook post by the South Bend Police Department, officers were called to the area shortly after midnight on the report of a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say, during the investigation, three additional victims arrived at the emergency room. They told officers they were wounded by gunfire at the same scene on Miami Street. Their injuries are not life threatening, according to police.

The shooting is under investigation but police say it appears the victims had been gathered at the Miami Street location for a New Year's Eve celebration.

The South Bend Police Department Violent Crimes Unit is investigating and has interviewed several witnesses.

There is no information on potential suspects.
