Goshen leaders looking to add crosswalk and turn lanes to busy stretch of US 33
A local city could soon be moving forward with a crosswalk plan that's been shelved for over a year.
Goshen leaders want to make improvements to a busy stretch of U.S. 33, near Fidler Pond Park.
The plan includes adding a crosswalk and turn lanes between Fairfield and Plymouth avenues.
It was put on hold last September, but officials say a federal grant could help cover the majority of the $1.3 million cost.
The project is scheduled to start in 2022.
The city is now looking to finalize an agreement with INDOT before drawing up designs.
