Investigation finds Olive Township Clerk pocketed nearly $11,500
An investigation found a former elected leader overpaid herself thousands of dollars.
Ted Booker with our partners at the South Bend Tribune reports, an audit by the Indiana State Board of Accounts found Sherri Houser pocketed nearly $11,500.
They also found the former Olive Township Clerk used taxpayer money to pay more than $4,000 in personal electric bills.
Houser resigned back in May. She admitted to taking the money.
She agreed to fully reimburse the township.
