Today (Monday) there will be one last effort to stop Honeywell from dropping health insurance for retirees.

Union members plan to ask the South Bend Common Council to vote on a resolution pushing federal lawmakers to get the president involved in their dispute.

The union is upset Honeywell dropped health insurance for retirees.

A judge ruled last month that the employees were not vested with lifetime coverage.

The union also wants the president to sign an executive order keeping Honeywell jobs in South Bend instead of moving jobs to Turkey.
