Local activists join nationwide protest to protect Mueller Russia investigation
Local activists joined a nationwide protest to protect Robert Mueller's Russia Investigation today (Thursday).
The protests are prompted by acting attorney general Matthew Whitaker.
He now plans to oversee the investigation instead of recusing himself.
Many are worrying about a conflict of interest.
A group called "Indivisible Indiana, District 2" hosted the protest.
“It's been a contingency that we've been preparing for pretty much since the Mueller investigation was formed because of concerns that the White House or allies of the White House might cross some lines to undermine this investigation,” said Kelly Beduhn, Indivisible Indiana. “The line was crossed when Jeff Sessions was removed as AG and Matthew Whitaker was put in charge of the Mueller investigation.”
