Get Wet for a Vet is going to be building a tiny village for veterans.
There will be seven homes. They will have a porch and be linked by a sidewalk that that surrounds a fire pit. There will also be seven flag poles.
Three of the homes will have a garden area in the back yard, two will have sheds and a backyard area, and two will have front yards.
The project has been delayed because of the pandemic, but now it's underway.
Those living there will be asked to do their part.
"There's going to be certain criteria and there's going to be certain requirements that are going to be maintained and one of the things we're going to emphasize is involvement in the community and there's going to be opportunity," said Jim Metherd.
The annual Get Wet for a Vet event is still scheduled to take place August 1.
