Michigan City woman dies after losing control of car

Emergency responders are saying snowy roads were the cause for a Michigan City crash that killed one woman.

34-year-old Amanda Trampski died Friday morning.

Police say she lost control of her car in the slush and snow along the 1900 block of Springland Avenue.

The car collided with a utility pole and flipped onto its roof.

Emergency crews needed extrication equipment to pull her from the damaged car.

They took her to St. Anthony Hospital where she died a short time later.
